Roman Shakhverdov, a manager of the Scientific and Educational Center “Digital Technologies in Education” at GSOM SPbU, spoke at the #OpenScience lecture at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023.
On November 3, he gave a lecture to schoolchildren on the topic “Why go to university and how to make the (wrong) choice.”
During his speech, Roman Shakhverdov discussed the key recommendations that should be taken into account when choosing a future higher education program. “The purpose of the lecture was to help participants understand the variety of educational programs available on the market and provide tools for making informed decisions when choosing a suitable program,” said the expert.

The Scientific and Educational Center “Digital Technologies in Education” is a technological project founded in 2020 on the basis of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University. The task of the Center was to create and research new digital education formats and introduce them into educational practices.
In general, from October 31 to November 3, as part of SPIGF-2023, GSOM SPbU took part in a collective exhibition of stands of partner universities of PJSC Gazprom. Information about the main educational programs and continuing education programs was presented at the Business School stand.
The popular science lecture #OpenScience at SPIGF-2023 has become a platform for leading scientists and experts. The topics of open presentations were trends and achievements in gas science, digital technologies, as well as new areas of scientific research.
The XII St. Petersburg International Gas Forum is one of the key global events in the gas industry. The forum is being held in St. Petersburg with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the city government.
