Anna Sedova and Dmitry Yakovlev, students of the bachelor's program "International Management" of GSOM SPbU, took first place among international teams in the "2032 KNU Startup Idea Competition" of the Kyungbuk National University in Korea, where they are currently studying as exchange students. At the awards ceremony, the winners were congratulated by the President of Kyungpook National University, Mr. Hong Won Hwa. The bonus was 1 million won (about $770).
Anna Sedova and Dmitry Yakovlev presented the KNU jury with the startup Trippo, developed during their studies at the Business School and adapted for the Korean market. The works of the competition participants were also evaluated by the CEO and managers of one of the largest mobile operators in Korea - SK Telecom.
The Trippo app generates personalized itineraries for users based on their desires, interests, budget and travel goals. “Users will be asked questions such as: what is your budget or how many days do you plan to spend in this place? Which area should you choose a route to? What are your time restrictions? Do you prefer active or passive recreation and so on. Based on the answers, a route is created that can be easily changed at any point. In addition, Trippo provides geo-advertising services for companies without affecting the user experience. When we wrote our course work and developed this startup in St. Petersburg, my classmates also worked on the idea: Anna Sedova, Boris Agatiev, Anastasia Naumchak, Maxim Shelest,” said Dmitry Yakovlev.
We are proud of our students and wish them further victories!
