On December 8, 2023, the representatives of the Department of Strategic and International Management of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University Yuri Blagov and Diana Dmitrieva took part in the XX International Conference “Public Administration in New Geopolitical Conditions” at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Scientific reports by scientists were presented in the section “Sustainable business development in new geopolitical and geo-economic conditions.”
Yuri Blagov highlighted current issues of corporate sustainability. He emphasized that the concept is not limited to simply reinterpreting the idea of sustainable development at the micro level. The speech highlighted models of corporate sustainability as attempts to rationally adapt business to the global problems of our time.
Diana Dmitreva, in turn, presented the interim results of the study “Development of a strategy for the sustainable development of the mineral resource base of the Arctic region in the context of energy transition and ESG transformations,” funded by the Russian Science Foundation.
Her report focused on the strategy for sustainable development of the mineral resource base of the Arctic region in the context of energy transformations and environmental, social and governance changes. Particular attention was paid to the issues of sustainable financing of projects in the Arctic under new geopolitical and geo-economic conditions.
The participation of Yuri Blagov and Diana Dmitrieva in this conference emphasizes the significance of the academic contribution of GSOM SPbU to the development of sustainable development strategies and effective corporate governance in the context of modern global challenges.
