The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University and VTB Bank (PJSC) confirmed cooperation in the implementation of the Master in Corporate Finance (MCF) program.
Top managers of VTB: board member Vitaly Sergeychuk and head of the Financial Department, vice-president Natalya Surova, are permanent members of the MCF educational program council, within its framework they formulate business requirements for the profile of a program alumnus.
“There is always a place for talented and motivated young specialists in our VTB corporate and investment business team. I am sure that thanks to comprehensive training, relevant knowledge and skills, graduates of the MCF master’s program at GSOM SPbU will be in demand by our industry teams,” noted Vitaly Sergeychuk.
In addition, the best students and alumni of the MCF master's program have the opportunity to undergo fast-track under the existing Junior and ROST internship programs bypassing the preliminary stages of selection: resume screening, technical interview and internal testing.
“The Master's program in Corporate Finance is an example of best practices in university finance education. Students of the program undergo internships in the VTB Reporting and Financial Data Department and show excellent results,” added Natalya Surova.
As part of the expansion of the partnership, it is also expected that practitioners from VTB will participate in the MCF Financiers Club in the format of master classes on writing a CV/CL passing a fit interview, as well as specialized workshops on financial analysis and modeling and valuation of companies with different industry specifics.
“The strategic partnership with VTB Bank is a qualitative step forward for the MCF master’s program, thanks to which our students and alumni receive almost unlimited opportunities for quality employment,” said the academic director of the program, associate professor of the Department of Finance and Accounting at GSOM SPbU Alexander Andrianov.
