On February 13, 2024, Yury Blagov, Director of the CSR Center at GSOM SPbU, took part in an open meeting of the National Council on Corporate Volunteering (NCCV), held at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. The theme of the meeting, held in a round table format, was “Corporate volunteers, unite! We are strengthening cooperation in joint projects for the anniversary goal of the NCCV.” The session was attended by the heads of NCCV, managers of leading Russian companies implementing corporate volunteering programs, and representatives of the expert community.

In his speech, Yury Blagov noted that corporate volunteering has become a complex business process and implies the development of a corresponding management function. This multi-purpose function, focused on creating value for a wide range of stakeholders and requiring a variety of professional and personal competencies, should be the subject of research and teaching in business schools. The “Corporate Volunteering” course, created at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University with the support of Philip Morris International in Russia and NССV, can become a platform for effective interaction between students and teachers of Russian universities with companies and other participants in the corporate volunteering ecosystem.
