On March 13, 2024, Yury Blagov, Director of the CSR Center at GSOM SPbU, as part of a group of experts, took part in the first meeting of corporate volunteers of Sakhalin Energy, held under the slogan "Energy of Good” in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

Yury Blagov presented a report on the topic “Educational initiatives in the field of corporate volunteering” at the plenary session and acted as one of the moderators of a group discussion of promising volunteer projects in the “world café” format.

In his speech Yury Blagov emphasized that the training of volunteers in companies should be complemented by training in managing corporate volunteering as a specific business process. Completing such training not only increases the effectiveness of corporate volunteering projects and programs but provides company employees with ample opportunities to develop professional management competencies.

Experience in managing corporate volunteering can become an excellent school of modern management aimed at creating value for business and society and achieving sustainable development goals. The “Corporate Volunteering” course, prepared by the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University with the support of Philip Morris International in Russia and NSKV, can become a platform for developing the best practices in such training, intended for both company employees and university students.
