Head of the Department of State and Municipal Management at GSOM SPbU, academic director of the bachelor’s program “Public and Municipal Management” Anastasia Golubeva took part in the XXI All-Russian Forum “Strategic Planning in the Regions and Cities of Russia”.

On October 30, the expert made a report “Sustainable development of territories — the third mission of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University” at the panel discussion “Universities and the development of strategies for the development of cities and regions: implementation of the third mission of the university.”

 Anastasia Golubeva spoke about how the implementation of the GSOM SPbU Urbanist Summer School, as well as a pilot project to develop professional competencies of city administration employees, tested in the spring of 2023 in Cherepovets, launched a continuous cycle of evolutionary development of the educational track “State and Municipal Management” involving students and young professionals into a meaningful agenda for sustainable development of territories.

 

“The three missions of the university (Education, Science, Society) are formulated in the DNA of GSOM SPbU: we create knowledge, develop leaders and change the world for the better. These three areas are interconnected by a single evolutionary development cycle, thanks to which we annually update our main educational programs, and also carry out scientific research, the purpose of which is to bring real benefits to society,” noted Anastasia Golubeva.

The Strategists Forum has been held annually in St. Petersburg since 2002. At the Forum, methods and mechanisms of strategic planning are discussed, constructive discussions are held on the most important and pressing issues of implementing strategies and complex projects for the development of cities and regions of the Russian Federation.

 In 2023, the theme of the forum is “Strategic planning in the regions and cities of Russia: grounding strategies, strengthening cooperation.” Representatives of the Federation Council, State Duma, federal and regional executive authorities, and representatives of local governments take part in the Forum.
