On April 11 2024, Yury Blagov, Director of the CSR Center at GSOM SPbU, took part in the conference “Corporate volunteering in the region as an effective tool for interaction between business and society” as a guest speaker. The conference was held in the city of Krasnodar as part of the “Time of New Strategies” program. The conference was organized by the business communications agency "South Times", the Public Chamber of the Krasnodar Region, the Southern Regional Committee of the Association of European Businesses, the Association "Agency for Investments and International Cooperation" and the Krasnodar regional branch of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The event was attended by representatives of the business community, public organizations and business associations, as well as executive authorities.

In his online speech, Yury Blagov emphasized that corporate volunteering today has become one of the business processes that require professional management. Remaining the most important form of corporate charity, corporate volunteering allows us to solve a whole range of business problems, including developing the personal and professional competencies of employees, increasing the company’s reputation as a good employer and corporate citizen. In addition, managing a corporate volunteer program is an excellent school for the modern manager, allowing him or her to develop a whole set of cross-functional skills.
