On November 28, 2024, the results of the next annual round of the Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy project, implemented by the AGO "Donors Forum" in cooperation with the Kommersant Publishing House and the B1 Group of Companies, were summed up. The project included an analytical report entitled “Corporate Philanthropy Strategies: Key Characteristics”, prepared by an expert group of the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility at GSOM SPbU, consisting of the center’s director, associate professor Yury Blagov and third-year undergraduate student Daria Kaledzhi. In addition, Yury Blagov traditionally joined the project jury.
The analytical report emphasized: “Corporate philamthropy remains an important part of the socially responsible activities of Russian companies. Moreover, in the context of the aggravation of the entire range of global problems, in the current geopolitical crisis, the role of philanthropic activities in the interaction of business with society and nature is only increasing. Companies not only maintain their traditional long-term programs, but also develop new areas, use a wide range of forms and elements of corporate philanthropy. At the same time, the strategic nature of corporate philanthropy, considered by most companies in the context of social investments, is strengthened.
The Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy project, initiated by the AGO "Donor Forum" in 2008, is the largest national initiative in the field of corporate philanthropy. It includes conducting an analytical study, compiling a rating of companies and a competition of social programs in a number of nominations. The Center for CSR of GSOM SPbU traditionally acts as an academic partner of the project.
