The XXVIII Drucker Awards ceremony was held at the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus of the GSOM SPbU. This year, the guests of the student “Oscar” ceremony got to Broadway: into the world of creativity and behind stage intrigues.
Traditionally, the ceremony gathered a full auditorium. About 450 students at the Business School and honored guests: teachers, staff and partners of the GSOM SPbU came to support the nominees of the competition and see a colorful show.
The award is named after one of the most famous management researchers in the twentieth century, Peter Drucker. When Mr. Drucker found out about the award in 2002, he wrote a letter to the GSOM SPbU, in which he supported the ceremony, and gifted several of his books to the library of the Business School. |
Polina Bachinskaya, head of PR department of Drucker Awards, talked about the atmosphere of the ceremony: “Music permeates the air. The Broadway theater is enveloped in excitement and anticipation. You can hear the clatter of heels and the smell of the best perfumes. Light pours from the headlights, anticipation hangs in the atmosphere. The crowd is excited, applauding every movement, every step of the artists. The stage has a life of its own and steals the audience's attention, not letting go until the last note is played! This is the atmosphere we wanted to create at this year's Ceremony. There is a place for everyone on Broadway and each of the nominations is designed to reveal a new side of the person. We hope it's a success.”
The rules of the Drucker Awards are reminiscent of the Oscars: multiple nominations, with each nomination represented with multiple people. Students choose their own nominees and vote. |
