The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region, Mikhail Kotyukov, a member of the Advisory Board of the GSOM SPbU, visited Mikhailovskaya Dacha to discuss strategic cooperation between the region and the Business School.
As Mikhail Kotyukov noted, the Krasnoyarsk Region is set to implement long-term educational and research projects together with the Business School:
"Our region is developing dynamically, implementing large-scale projects, which means that qualified management personnel are needed. We aim to implement joint educational and research activities on the basis of the Siberian Federal University. Moreover, we have practical work experience, interesting practices and projects, we are ready to share this experience and adopt the experience of the GSOM SPbU in training management personnel. We have prepared a roadmap for joint activities, it is contentful and meets our common interests. I am ready for its approval and further discussion of the details of cooperation."
Olga Dergunova, Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank, Director of the GSOM SPbU, noted the importance of developing business and academic ties between the two regions and expressed confidence that the expertise of the GSOM SPbU will make a significant contribution to this process.
"High-quality higher education is one of the key factors for the successful socio-economic development of any region, as it comprehensively contributes to the strengthening of human capital and business potential. In this context, academic cooperation between the GSOM SPbU and Siberian Federal University looks particularly relevant and promising," Olga Dergunova said. "As part of the joint roadmap, we will work in several areas, including increasing the attractiveness of the region for young professionals, developing opportunities for entrepreneurs, and investing in infrastructure."
Olga Dergunova said that more than 9 thousand people from Russia and 50 countries of the world have become graduates of the GSOM SPbU over the years of successful work. Today, graduates of the Business School are building careers as managers, entrepreneurs and consultants in Russian and international companies, developing their own businesses and leading public authorities.
During the visit, the delegation of the Krasnoyarsk Region inspected the modern infrastructure of the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus. With the support of the Advisory Board of the GSOM SPbU and Business School partners, dormitories for undergraduate students were built on campus, and sports and leisure infrastructure facilities were launched. All this, together with the latest EdTech solutions for hybrid classrooms, provides the GSOM SPbU with a comfortable environment for living, working, learning, and implementing educational innovations.
