On June 18, 2024, Yury Blagov, Director of the CSR Center at GSOM SPbU, took part in the conference “Corporate Social Responsibility of Technology Companies. Strategy and practice".




The conference, organized by the Moscow State University Research and Technology Center “Vorobyovy Gory” together with the Mobius Technology company, became the largest event on the topic of social responsibility of Russian technology and IT companies. The conference was attended by more than 2,000 representatives of business and non-profit organizations, government agencies and educational institutions.

Yury Blagov acted as a speaker at the session “Investing in Society: Technologies as Points of Growth,” drawing attention to the contemporary peculiarities of technology companies CSR. According to Yury Blagov, the main responsibility of such companies is the development and widespread implementation of technologies of the fourth industrial revolution, based on an understanding of the moral issues associated with their use. Ignoring these issues by business will inevitably lead to the aggravation of a whole range of global problems. In turn, the introduction of new technologies such as artificial intelligence opens new opportunities for developing partnerships between technology companies and non-profit organizations in the social and environmental spheres.
