On July 14, 2015 Head of the Center for PPP Studies Svetlana V. Maslova took part in the discussion at the workshop “Sources of Funding for Regional Projects in Road Sector”. The workshop was organized by Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) and dedicated to the discussion of the prospects for funding regional projects in the road sector.

During the workshop representatives of regional authorities in the road sector, specialists of financial and contracting organizations, as well as experts from the business and academic communities paid attention to the new sources of state co-funding, criteria for the selection of region’s applications for it and recommendations for preparation of projects in the road sector that would be interesting to the state and business.

In the framework of the workshop Federal Road Agency presented a number of successful regional projects in the road sector, such as the construction of the bypass in Khabarovsk, the bridge in Novosibirsk, the bridge over the River Sheksna in Cherepovets, the bridges over the River Kama and The River Bui in the Udmurt Republic, in order to stimulate regional authorities to intensify work on the development of high-quality PPP projects.
