The event was attended by managers and directors of logistics and procurement departments of major manufacturing and trading companies of St. Petersburg, the chief executives of 3PL-providers, freight forwarding companies, shipping lines, customs brokers and other key players at the Northwest logistics market
«Management of the future ’14» is the third annual conference, initiated by students themselves with the support of Graduate School of Management administration.
The ambitious goal of the conference is to create a platform for cooperation of leading Russian companies and the most talented students from all over the world, and it is successfully realized through Russian companies’ heads guest lectures, masterclasses, round tables, business games, etc., job fair and the discussion for HR-managers.
The conference theme for 2014 is "Attracting and development of young specialists as part of the social responsibility of Russian companies".
This annual conference started in 2007, jointly with the Department of Applied Mathematics and Control Processes (AM&CP SPbSU) and the International Society of Dynamic Games (Russian chapter). Every year 80-90 leading researchers, including no less than 50% of foreign researchers participate in the conference. The conference is widely known due to the participation of Nobel laureates such as Professor R. Aumann (the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in2005) in 2007, Professor J. Nash (the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in1994) in 2008, Professor R. Selten (the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in1994) in 2009 and Professor R. Myerson (the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2007) in 2011.
Graduate School of Management SPbSU was hosting 36th Conference of the European Academy for Industrial Management. The Academy established in 1982 currently integrates more than 50 professors from 17 European countries.
The International Conference «GSOM Emerging Markets Conference: Business and Government Perspectives» was organized by Graduate School of Management St. Petersburg University. More than 250 participants took part in the conference representing 46 leading universities from Western, Central and Eastern Europe, Brazil, Russia, India, China, the USA and other countries. Representatives of business community, corporate educational institutions, and members of the Administration of St. Petersburg took part in the conference sessions and round tables.
As the result, the conference “GSOM Emerging Markets Conference: Business and Government Perspectives” is planned to be scheduled annually.
Industry Conference “PPP in the Transport Sector: Ensuring Road Safety” was organized jointly by the Center for PPP Studies (Graduate School of Management SPbU) and the Research Institute of the Motor Transport (NIIAT) as part of the “Transport Week – 2014”. Representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Federal Road Agency, State Company “Avtodor”, federal and regional executive authorities, large financial, construction and consulting companies as well as international experts in the field of PPP and representatives of the academic community took part in the conference.
