The year 2020 has shown that market requirements can change in a matter of days. How to reflect these changes in the development strategy of a company? Is it actually needed or can a choice be made in favour of adaptability? These questions were discussed by managers and Russian companies' owners within an online meeting of МВА Alumni Expertise Club of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU).
This fall, alumni of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU), who have built their careers in various companies in Russia and abroad, joined several projects of the GSOM Family community at once — the Talent Up! and Management Career Week (MCW) traditional career week.
Lecturers of the Department of Information Technologies in Management of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbSU) delivered lectures to the participants of the Archipelago 20.35 as part of the educational track "Artificial Intelligence in Biomedicine".
The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) continues to develop the digital educational environment and launches a pilot project to create conditions for hybrid learning. Alexander Baizarov, Advisor to GSOM SPbU Director, and Natalya Leader, Commercial Director of Ability consulting company, spoke about this process at the XI Microsoft Educational Forum Digital Transformation of Higher Education: Experience, Challenges, Prospects.
On November 23, 2020, Yury Blagov, Director of the PwC Center for CSR GSOM SPbU, took part in the section Russia - France: Dialogue between Business and NPOs — Expanding the Boundaries of Corporate Volunteering on the IX Moscow International Forum Corporate Volunteering: business and society. The Forum was organized by the Russian Managers Association and the National Council for Corporate Volunteering (NCCV). The international pharmaceutical company Servier was the partner of the section.
Archipelago 20.35 is the first unprecedentedly large Russian intensive course on formation and acceleration of teams that can create and commercialize projects in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for cutting-edge technological development in priority sectors of the economy and all spheres of public and social activity. It was divided in three stages: preaccelerating — selection programme; in fact, an intensive course, in which top 1000 teams with highest rating took part following the results of selection; and at the end, a final — presentation of results of «Archipelago 20.35».
On November 20, 2020, the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) hosted the VI Annual Scientific Conference on "Public-Private Partnership in Transport: Models and Experience". The experts discussed the theoretical and legal problems of implementing projects in the field of PPP.
Yury Blagov, Director of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Center for CSR, as an invited speaker took part in the interregional online marathon "Time of Good Deeds", organized for social entrepreneurs of the Vologda Region, the Komi Republic and the Republic of Karelia. The marathon was initiated by the City Development Agency, established by PJSC Severstal and the Mayor's Office of Cherepovets.
On November 12, 2020, Yury Blagov, Director of the PWC Center for CSR took part in the VI Academic Fundraising Forum, traditionally held by the Ural Federal University (UrFU). Yury Evgenievich acted as an invited participant in the plenary session "How do impact universities affect the international education ecosystem and corporate ties?".
Why is business not only obliged, but also compelled to be socially responsible? To what extent a situation of the COVID-19 pandemic is unordinary? Did the category «capitalism» compromise itself and how competition relates to the requirement of entering into cooperation?
