On the 17th of October, Yury E. Blagov, Director of the PwC Center for CSR, took part in the panel discussion on “Professional competencies of business as a driver for social development” in the “Civil Development Platform” program of the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi
“Civil Development Platform” participants are presenting the best global and Russian civic engagement practices, discussing the issues involved in developing of civil society in different countries of the world, elaborating on effective mechanisms for involving young people in social problem-solving and fostering long-term partnerships through joint projects.

The World Festival of Youth and Students was held for the first time in 1947 in Prague, and for the first time in Russia (Soviet Union) in 1957 in Moscow. This year the Festival celebrates 70 years anniversary, and 60 years have passed since the first festival in Russia. Events gather representatives from 150 countries, more than 20 thousand participants and 200 public ambassadors. The program of the Festival includes meetings, discussions, roundtables and events on cultural, sporting, scientific and socially significant issues.
