On November 8, Scopus Awards Russia 2018 ceremony took place in Moscow. GSOM SPbU Professor of the Department of Strategic and International Management, Doctor of Science Galina V. Shirokova was among the winners.
Award winners were selected in 11 subject categories. During the selection, the number of authors’ publications indexed in the Scopus database from 2015 to 2018, as well as the average number of citations per publication and the weighted citation index were considered. Galina Shirokova won the prize in the “Business and economics” subject area.
Galina V. Shirokova has 33 publications in Scopus. Since 2015, 18 of her works were registered in this database. The professor’s latest publications were devoted to exploring strategic orientation effects, trade-offs, and configurations with resource availability on SME performance during economic crisis, the moderating role of national culture in the relationship between University entrepreneurship offerings and student start-up activity and expertise, university infrastructure and approaches to new venture creation. Professor Shirokova’s research interests include entrepreneurial firms’ development and growth, strategic orientations, new venture teams.
The Scopus Awards was first held in China in 2004. Since then, the most published and quoted authors receive this award in Latin America, Asia, Europe and Russia. The award aims at supporting scientific research in Russia and honors its outstanding scientists.
