SPbU won a grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to establish the SPbU International Scientific and Methodological Center (ISMC SPbU) on the basis of the GSOM SPbU and Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (FMKN). The amount of the grant is 339 million rubles.
The goal of creating the ISMC SPbU is to train, retrain and train internships of higher education employees in the fields of mathematics, computer science and digital technology in accordance with the best Russian and international standards.
ISMC SPbU will consist of 4 structural units:
Within the International Scientific and Methodological Center of St. Petersburg University, training programs “Software Development and Data Analysis”, “Mathematical Education”, “Artificial Intelligence”, “Analysis and Interpretation of Big Data”, “Software Development and Data Analysis” will be developed and implemented. Also practical and seminar classes in mathematics and programming and the internship “Quantitative methods for solving applied problems” will be organized, the monograph “Education for the digital economy” will be published, 36 interactive educational modules based on Stepik / Hyperskill platform will be developed and launched, foreign specialists will be attracted to the project and so on.
The project will be realized in 2019-2021.
