On December 7, 2019 the first day of seminars of the School of Social Entrepreneurship. The School is attended by 35 students of various SPbU Departments.
Yulia N. Aray, expert of the Foundation "Our Future" for Regional Social Programs, Senior Lecturer, Department of Strategic and International Management, SPbU. She spoke about the main work direction within the seminars, their goals and wished good luck to all participants.
As part of the first day, Irina A. Vishnevskaya, Director of the Center for Innovation of the Social Sphere of the Leningrad Region, and Olga V. Yurkina, Director of the Center for Innovation of the Social Sphere of St. Petersburg, delivered lectures. Experts spoke about the activities of their organizations and about social issues relevant to these regions.
The participants were found out with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and took part in the Global Goals Jam workshop, the task of which is to find solutions for implementing the SDGs. During group work, students chose the most exciting problems of the region and offered various ways to solve them. The seminar was moderated by employees of the Foundation "Our Future" for Regional Social Programs. They use the design thinking methodology in the SDG area developed by Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in their work.
