On November 17, at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU), international experts will discuss changing approaches to working with corporate finance in the face of market uncertainty. Presentations of reports and discussions will take place at the scientific track "Strategic Finance and Corporate Governance" at the 7th International Conference "Emerging Markets 2020".
“Financial performance should be analyzed both using financial instruments and strategic analysis. But how can this estimate be made in the face of uncertainty? What metrics should CFOs rely on? What is effective, sound and reliable corporate governance? As part of the track, we propose to discuss these and other issues of corporate economic relations", said the track leader, Professor of the Department of Finance and Accounting Alexander Bukhvalov.
The track will include reports on the impact of accounting policies on the company's performance, risk management, asset pricing, the work of boards of directors, shareholder activity, corporate governance, etc.
The 7th International Conference Emerging Markets 2020: New Reality During and After COVID-19 will be held on November 11-18 at GSOM SPbU in an online format at the ZOOM platform. The conference is organized in partnership with The Academy of Business in Society (ABIS), a network of over 100 companies and academic institutions whose expertise and resources are used to invest in sustainable business development in society; Caux Round Table, an international organization of business leaders with a value-based approach to global capitalism; GEM&L, an international group of researchers focusing on language and communication in the business environment.
