Experts of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU), representing the PwC Center for Corporate Social Responsibility took part in the second interregional gathering of social entrepreneurs of the North-West "Crisis as an opportunity: points of growth for social entrepreneurship."
Yulia Aray moderated two panel sessions: "Drivers of Social Entrepreneurship: A New Look at Common Things" and "Discussion of New Trends and Opportunities for Using Financial and Other Tools for Social Entrepreneurs". “The 2nd interregional gathering of social entrepreneurs of the Northwest is a large-scale event for our region, which unites everyone involved in this topic — social entrepreneurs, government, business, the academic community, foundations that support and develop this area. This event was a continuation of the 1st interregional gathering of social entrepreneurs of the North-West, which took place in 2019 on the campus of the Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University; organized by GSOM SPbU, the Center for Social Innovation of the Leningrad Region (Center "My Business") and the Foundation for Regional Social Programs "Our Future" (Moscow). It is important for us that the initiative launched in 2019 to unite all stakeholders at the interregional level around the topic of social entrepreneurship has been continued. The high returns and involvement of all participants in the event indicate that social entrepreneurship will continue to develop successfully in the North-West region", she said.
Yury Blagov took part as a speaker in a session dedicated to cooperation between social enterprises. “Dialogue between big business and representatives of social enterprises is an opportunity for growth and development for both the former and the latter. It is a fusion of flexible and often innovative solutions that social entrepreneurs are ready to offer and implement, and the resources of big business. Such a partnership is an important component of sustainable development for all participants in the process,” he said.
The meeting took place at the XVIII Annual Forum of Small and Medium Businesses in St. Petersburg. The organizers of the meeting were the Center for Social Innovation in St. Petersburg (Center "My Business") and the Foundation for Regional Social Programs "Our Future" (Moscow). The Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University was a partner of the event.
