The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) was able to use the MegaFon Cloud platform: a virtual data center will become the foundation for scaling high-tech digital services based on cloud solutions. This is the first collaboration between the platform and the educational institution.
Access to the service will be provided to students of the <5G_Dream_Lab> laboratory, based at the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus.
“Thanks to fruitful cooperation with the company, teams of managers and programmers students are creating digital services and solutions based on 5G technology on the basis of the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus. The capabilities of the MegaFon Cloud platform will increase the speed of teams' work, our laboratory technicians will be able to develop and test products of any complexity without fear of stumbling upon system errors and data loss,” said Rostislav Speransky, Head of the <5G_Dream_Lab> laboratory.
"MegaFon Cloud was designed for various scenarios — from traditional IaaS to innovative services for development and Data Science. The allocated power of the platform is sufficient for the simultaneous operation of ten teams of the experimental laboratory. The flexibility and reliability of the solution will allow students to focus on key tasks,” said Alexander Osipov, Head of Cloud Platforms and Infrastructure Solutions at MegaFon.
Digital Laboratory <5G_Dream_Lab> is a joint project of GSOM SPbU and MegaFon. SPbU students, united in interdisciplinary teams, study tools and approaches to the development of IT products, create and test their solutions based on high-tech 5G equipment.
