On March 11-12, researchers from the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg  University (GSOM SPbU) held an online seminar How to publish research in leading international management journals. The seminar was attended by teachers, researchers and Doctoral students of the Institute of Economics and Management of Tomsk State University.

  

“We understand the importance of exchanging experience, communication and work with colleagues from regional universities. It helps us to accumulate and transfer experience and, to look at familiar things in a new way. The more researchers from different cities and countries interact, the better it is for the development of science. We are grateful to our colleagues for their fruitful communication and will be glad to work on joint projects in the future, ” said Karina Bogatyreva, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship.

  

The Business School experts talked about the classifications of journals and the main stages of the publication process, standards regarding the structure of the article and the preparation of the introduction, research design, the main methods of empirical analysis, approaches to describing the results and the peculiarities of preparing a section dedicated to the discussion of the research findings. Karina Bogatyreva also presented a case demonstrating the features of the peer review process in one of the leading international journals on entrepreneurship.

  

 “Cooperation between educational institutions and the exchange of experience are very important for the development of science and education in general. For us, the information received at the seminar turned out to be very useful. We hope that we will continue to cooperate with GSOM SPbU, including conducting joint research,” said Evgenia Nekhoda, Director of the Institute of Economics and Management, Tomsk State University.
