Employees of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) and Sberbank Corporate University (SberUniversity) exchanged experience in organizing distance learning during the pandemic. The round table took place on October 9 at ZOOM.

 

Konstantin Krotov, Head of School, spoke about the organization of the educational process in the new conditions. The business school made the transition to distance learning rather quickly as it began to explore online opportunities even before the pandemic began. Thanks to well-organized software training and promptly deployed technical support, all lectures were held by schedule. The faculty noted that during the transition to online, students demonstrated discipline and responsibility: attendance and completion of assignments on time increased almost to 100%.

 

Igor Baranov, Acting Rector, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Research, Sberbank Corporate University shared his experience in adapting educational approaches and technologies. He spoke about the changes in the portfolio of educational programs and the formats for their implementation. SberUniversity specialists reviewed the cloud-based tools for organizing training and elaborated on a number of implemented cases. Among them there were the transfer of the full-time component of the Sberbank 2020 multi-level program to the online format, gamification in the distance learning program "Leaders of Retail Business", online program "Decision Making in Complex Systems".

 

GSOM professors and SberUniversity employees discussed methods of interaction with the audience, approaches to knowledge assessment and proctoring, as well as the organization of educational tracks, for which the communication of students within the group is one of the main components of the process (for example, programs for top management).

 

Olga Dergunova, Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank, Director of GSOM SPbU, emphasized that an equal dialogue between an academic business school and a corporate university is useful to both parties in terms of integration and mutual enrichment of cultures. Organizations unite not only common themes and tasks: many employees of Sberbank University studied at GSOM SPbU.
