A meeting of GSOM Executive Education International Board was held — this program is the flagship in the portfolio of programs of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU).
The participants summed up the results of the Board's work in 2019-2020. The main goal is getting the EMBA program listed in the top 100 of leading programs in the QS Executive MBA Rankings. The next goal is to enter the Financial Times Global MBA rankings.
“The Business school faces challenges in the modern world. And the main goal is to maintain its leadership in the field of business education in Russia, as well as to confidently move forward in the international FT and QS rankings. In this regard, it is extremely important for the School to invest in the development of MBA programs, and in marketing activities to attract the best students to MBA programs in order to ensure compliance with the main criteria of international rankings: career advancement, salary increase five years after the end of the program, achievement of significant social goals ", — said the Chairman of the Board, Professor Emeritus of the Higher School of Commerce in Paris, Jean-Paul Larçon.
The Council members discussed the development of international projects, in particular, the resumption of the creation of the international consortium “EEEP-Eurasia Education Partnership”, which was suspended due to the pandemic, together with Graduate School of Business of the EE “Almaty Management University” and leading European and Asian schools. In February-March 2021, it is planned to launch the Executive MBA program "Strategic Management: Global Agenda", developed jointly with the XXI Century-Consult Business School, The Republic of Belorus.
GSOM Executive Education International Board was established in 2017 to identify key factors for expanding the portfolio of executive education programs that will positively affect the development of the GSOM SPbU brand, the school's ties with the business community, the business school's ranking, and with relevant regional and national ecosystems. The priority of the Board is to develop the potential of program students, pedagogical innovations, as well as faculty and digitalization of the business school. The Board includes representatives of European and Asian business schools, GSOM SPbU alumni and professors.
