Science is an integral part of the life and work of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU). It is research that helps us to transfer relevant knowledge to our students and listeners and share expertise with partners.

The research activities of the Business School are carried out in several main areas: research projects, preparation of publications, organization of conferences and seminars, the work of research centers and the publication of two research journals in the field of management founded by GSOM SPbU: Vestnik SPbU. Series "Management" and "Russian Journal of Management".

Every year, GSOM SPbU holds research readings dedicated to the memory of the first dean Dean Pashkus Readings and The International Conference "Game Theory and Management", that is a major scientific event in which leading mathematicians, including Nobel laureates, participate.

From 2023 the EMC GSOM SPbU conference instead of the Emerging Market Conference will be called the Economy and Management Conference, which suggests a broader topic of the discussed problems. Among the topics of EMC-2023 are such relevant issues for business and management science as the use of information technologies in management, smart cities, management of medical organizations, digital marketing.

On the basis of the Business School there are five research centers: The Center for Entrepreneurship, The Center for Public Private Partnership Studies, The Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, The Center for Strategic Marketing and Innovations, as well as The Center for Russian Multinationals and Global Business.

The Center for Corporate Social Responsibility is one of the oldest research divisions of GSOM SPbU. Within its framework, the Business School realizes its mission - it prepares a socially responsible national management elite, focused on achieving constructive changes in the economy and society. Only responsible participants in socio-economic processes can negotiate, unite and jointly solve the urgent problems of society, which today come to the fore all over the world.

Authors of research in the field of economics, management, marketing and others participate in the preparation of educational programs at GSOM SPbU, act as Academic Directors, lecturers and, thus, communicate directly with those who can benefit from their work in practice.
