“An exemplary study of the value of virtual reality for soft skills training was conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers in collaboration with Talespin. In 2020, PwC employees took part in a pilot educational project in three formats: in the classroom, remotely and in VR. The company's managers immersed themselves in the topic of diversity and inclusion, solved tasks to develop unifying leadership and develop interpersonal skills. Offline and online formats looked similar: the participants studied the theory and watched videos with case studies. They either discussed possible solutions with colleagues or answered questions on a test. The study showed that VR gave employees more confidence in the further application of the acquired skills than offline training and standard online training,” Sergey Lukashkin.

The Research and Education Center at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University also set up an experiment: 120 respondents were trained in correct feedback during negotiations in a corporation. Groups trained in different formats were compared: with an actor, in VR without adaptation, and in VR with adaptation to the environment. It turned out that learning in VR is 11% more effective if students master this tool in advance.
