On November 14, at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbSU), international experts will discuss the effectiveness of healthcare management during the epidemic. Presentations of reports and discussions will be held as part of the scientific sub-track "The management of Healthcare organizations and the Governance of Health Care System in post-pandemic time" at the 7th international conference "Emerging Markets 2020".
“2020 became a year of testing the quality of management technologies, primarily in the public sector. We see that the healthcare sector is experiencing severe overloads: the lives and health of millions of people depend on the management literacy of leaders of medical organizations and the healthcare system. At two scientific sections of the Healthcare Day and a round table that concludes its work, the problems of methodology for assessing organizational effectiveness, innovative tools for increasing the efficiency of a medical organization (in relation to the city ambulance service, HIV and AIDS Centers, etc.) will be discussed, challenges to public health management in general. In turn, at the round table "Healthте care in turbulent times" representatives of the academic and industry environment, government authorities will discuss lessons that can already be learned from the experience of countering the pandemic,” said the Track Leader, Associate Professor of Public Administration, Academic Director, Executive Education Programmes Andrew Ivanov.
"The management of healthcare organizations the Governance of Health Care System in post-pandemic time" is one of the four sub tracks of the scientific track "Public Sector Issues", which will be held on November 12-14.
On November 12, experts will discuss "Improving Efficiency in the Public Sector." Track leader is Associate Professor of Public Administration Evgenii Gilenko.
On November 12, experts in the field of urban studies will present their research within the sub-track "Issues of Urban Management and Development". Track leader is Associate Professor of Public Administration, Academic Director of the Master's program "Management and Development of Urban Agglomerations" Ekaterina Sokolova.
On November 13, reports will be made within the sub-track "Public procurement and public-private partnership". Track leaders are Associate Professor of Public Administration Andrew Ivanov and Associate Professor of Public Administration Svetlana Maslova.
The 7th International Conference Emerging Markets 2020: New Reality During and After COVID-19 will be held on November 11-18 at GSOM SPbU in an online format at the ZOOM platform. The conference is organized in partnership with The Academy of Business in Society (ABIS), a network of over 100 companies and academic institutions whose expertise and resources are used to invest in sustainable business development in society; Caux Round Table, an international organization of business leaders with a value-based approach to global capitalism; GEM&L, an international group of researchers focusing on language and communication in the business environment.
