In theory, the question of who owns a business is not so relevant in the capitalist economic model but in reality? Researchers from the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) Andrei Panibratov and Daria Klishevich in their new article analyze why state-owned enterprises (SOEs) attract increasing attention from scholars and practitioners alike, and why the debate on SOEs often focuses on the issue of state capitalism.

The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) is launching spring activities for students, teachers, staff and alumni of the Business School.

On March 11-12, researchers from the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg  University (GSOM SPbU) held an online seminar How to publish research in leading international management journals. The seminar was attended by teachers, researchers and Doctoral students of the Institute of Economics and Management of Tomsk State University.

At the same time, one fifth of the Russian survey participants claim that under the pressure of the covid crisis, they were able to find new opportunities for business development.

Anastasia Laskovaya, Assistant of the Department of Strategic and International Management, Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU), in collaboration with other international researchers, has published an article on the Effectuation and causation, firm performance, and the impact of institutions: A multi-country moderation analysis in the Journal of Business Research.

At the end of February, students of the Executive MBA program of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) conducted an on-site module "Operations and Chain Management" in Sochi, at the Sirius Educational Center.

The knowledge and experience of the PwC Russia consulting company will form the basis of a course on infrastructure and project financing which will be held at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU).

Students of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) won the Eastern Europe stage of the international case championship P&G CEO Challenge 2021. The TikTok Lovers team of third-year students of the Management program, consisting of Mikhail Kazakov, Ilya Mosyagin and Gleb Ilyushkin? will represent Russia in the pan-European final of the championship.

A number of alumni of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) have been included in the ranking "Powerful Women of St. Petersburg", which is annually compiled by the editorial board of "Delovoy Petersburg".
