The "Profile" magazine published the IX National Ranking of Russian Business Schools. The Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) takes the first place.
A new ranking was made on the basis of a survey of business schools graduates who completed their studies in 2014-2016. All in all more than 1,300 MBA and EMBA graduates from 41 business schools took part in this survey. Among them: 66.7% — top managers and business owners, 27.3% — middle managers and 6% — low-level managers and specialists.
Survey participants evaluated the Schools according to four criteria: income growth (GSOM SPbU — 4.12 out of 5), career growth (3.96), networking (4.44), personal and professional development (4.96). GSOM SPbU tops the ranking together with the Institute Of Business Studies of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). Last year GSOM SPbU was in second place.
Also the results of the survey show that the majority of managers (67%) consider knowledge and skills to be the main result of their study. In addition, MBA graduates mention business connections (11%) and career growth (10%). 83.2% survey participants are satisfied with their success in careers, 16.8% are not satisfied. 25% of MBA graduates became top managers. The average growth in graduates incomes was 45%. In 2016 MBA.SU estimated the growth of GSOM SPbU graduates incomes in 108%.
In August 2018, the portal “MBA in Moscow and Russia” (MBA.SU) presented the results of a survey of business schools’ alumni. Graduate School of Management SPbU took the first position both by the sum of five indicators, gaining a total of 23.7 points, and on certain criteria.
