The Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University (GSOM SPbU) summed up the results of the 2019-2020 academic year. On July 15, 151 bachelors and 129 masters received congratulations from the administration and faculty on the occasion of their successful graduation from the business school. During the year, GSOM has risen in the rankings, successfully transferred all academic processes online while making significant progress in the development of its digital educational environment, and  has made progress in its efforts to achieve the coveted "triple crown" of business education accreditation.

The second online meeting of MBA programs alumni in the format of a club of practitioners was held at the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU). This time, representatives of companies associated with financial markets discussed the prospects and risks of financial markets, the main trends in a pandemic.

In the second half of May, the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM) launched the GSOM Connect project. It is a telegram bot designed specifically for communication and regular one-on-one meeting of the GSOM Family community - alumni, students, faculty and employees of GSOM. For three weeks, with the help of a chat bot, almost 150 people from different cities of Russia, from Paris, London, Hamburg, Berlin, Rotterdam, Tallinn and Minsk discussed their studies at GSOM, career development, work in startups and corporations. In total, 250 people used the chat bot.

On May 28, 2020, the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (GSOM) hosted the first online defense of a  thesis by Kazimir P. Yablonsky on the topic “Evaluation of the effectiveness of medical organizations”, which was submitted for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences. After his successful defense, Mr. Yablonsky was awarded the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.

At the Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University (GSOM), an online meeting of MBA program alumni, representatives of companies working in different segments of retail took place. The meeting participants discussed how retail has changed during the quarantine period, what challenges companies face today and what opportunities are opening up for the development of the industry.

On March 20, 2020, the final lesson of the “Design Your Life” program was held at GSOM SPbU, organized by the Coaching Center for students of the first and second year Bachelor programs. At the heart of the program is an approach developed at Stanford University to design life and career, based on design thought methods.
