GSOM Library suggests different search engines in finding books which are needed for your studies and research.

Books search is easy to start in GSOM Library Electronic Catalogue. In Electronic catalogue you will find printed books, which you can borrow with your personal library card, as well as electronic books which can be accessed by clicking the “full text” link.

To check the book availability and get bibliographic record you can use the electronic catalogues of Russian and foreign libraries as well as electronic databases with the full-text access to books.

• It is best to use the electronic catalogues of the  following Russian libraries:
• M. Gorkiy Scientific Library of the StPetersburg State University (SPBU),
• School of Economics Library SPBU,
• Law School Library SPBU,
• The National Library of Russia,

Journals and articles search

To search for a specific periodical (journal, volume editions, etc.) or articles you can use Library Electronic Catalogue, special journals searching systems and databases for full-text articles.

• Library Electronic Catalogue provides information on all new journals arrivals to the library, as well as allows to search articles with analytical description.
• Electronic search engine and abstracts and citations databases allow you to run a comprehensive search using different criteria. To find general information and journal location you can use A-Z journal finder. Searching by title or keyword you will get the links to databases which provide access to full-text articles of a specific journal.
• Bibliographic details, abstracts or citation for Russian and foreign academic journal articles you can check in such databases as:
