From August 29 to August 30 GSOM SPbU hosted international module Doing Business in Russia for students and graduates of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). GSOM SPbU visited 17 students who are now heads of the leading Chinese companies.

On June 6, during the Advisory Board meeting it was announced that Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Olga Dergunova was appointed as GSOM SPbU Director general. She replaced on this position President and Chairman of the Bank Andrey Kostin who led the School since 2012.
On June 5, MegaFon and St. Petersburg University signed an agreement on strategic cooperation and announced the creation of a 5G digital laboratory at “Mikhailovskaya Dacha” campus. It will be equipped with “fifth generation” test zone
On June 4, GSOM SPbU researchers presented the full version of the national report “GEM Russia 2018-2019”. According to the experts, in 2018, the assessment of the availability of business opportunities in the regions where respondents live was increased by 5% and the assessment of the ease of starting a new business increased by 3%. Despite this, the majority of respondents believe that it is difficult to become a businessman in Russia
On April 19, the head of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky delivered a lecture at GSOM SPbU on how the company is trying to see the future in order to maintain and develop its competitiveness
On April 18-19, at “Mikhailovskaya Dacha” campus Severstal & GSOM SPbU bootcamp will be held. Bootcamp is a collaboration between one of the largest metallurgical companies Severstal and GSOM SPbU within the framework of the transformation of management and educational practices. Participants will be able to work on solving business problems of Severstal in teams with the employees. Within two days, design thinking workshops and practical solutions development sessions will be organized for them. Basing on the results of the work, the organizers will select three best projects.
