On April 18-19 Severstal & GSOM SPbU Bootcamp was organized. Students, staff, alumni and Sevestal employees worked in teams solving business problems and taking part in design thinking workshops. At the end of the second day eight teams presented the results and jury that was formed by Severstal representatives choose the best solutions. The winners got a fast track for Severstal leadership program and certificates for mentor meetings with company executives
On April 18-19, at “Mikhailovskaya Dacha” campus Severstal & GSOM SPbU bootcamp will be held. Bootcamp is a collaboration between one of the largest metallurgical companies Severstal and GSOM SPbU within the framework of the transformation of management and educational practices. Participants will be able to work on solving business problems of Severstal in teams with the employees. Within two days, design thinking workshops and practical solutions development sessions will be organized for them. Basing on the results of the work, the organizers will select three best projects.
On December 6, GSOM SPbU graduate and Talent Up! mentor Ekaterina Startseva gave a lecture on topic “Digital marketing: native communications for big brands, or how to make a video for a million views.” Ekaterina told students about Russian advertising market, showed the most popular commercials of the year and explained what to study to be able to work in digital marketing

On September 14th, co-founder and the Chief Product Officer in Mechanica AI Elena Samuylova gave a lecture about artificial intelligence (AI) in business. Elena told students about the differences between machine learning and AI, new market of solutions based on machine learning and its benefits for business.
On September 22nd, Graduate School of Management (GSOM SPbU) community met at “Mikhailovskaya Dacha” campus. Businessmen, representatives of GSOM SPbU partner companies, alumni, students and faculty gathered together to discuss the future of business education.
From September 2nd to 7th at Graduate School of Management St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) CEMS Block Seminar was organized.
